Erena Mikaere of the New Zealand Silver Ferns took a moment out of her busy training schedule to answer 10 questions with us. Erena has played Natball extensively for Australian and New Zealand teams, now capped a Silver Fern as Goal Defence and Keeper.

From: Rotorua, New Zealand

1. What does a typical day look like for you?

Gym, Food, Daughter, Family and another Training session.

2. If you had to describe your style in 3 words:

Active Wear Street

3. How did you feel about your height growing up?
It depended, around sport it felt good, amazing. But outside of sport it took me awhile to learn to love it.

4. What’s your go-to fashion piece?
A Smile lol or a statement T-shirt!

5. If there was one piece of advice you’d tell your younger self it would be:
Dont give power to peoples words, believe in yourself before you believe others!

6. Favourite way to unwind?

Any body of water! Hot Pool, lake, bath and beach.

7. Do you have any weird/secret talents?

I can tie a snake lollie/cherry stem with my mouth.

8. Whats your favourite TV show?

Shameless, Awkward and Jane The Virgin.

9. Any piece of clothing you wish could find for tall women?

It's always been Pants and Jeans but we have those now ;) so more Jumpsuits!

10. Something you achieved recently you're proud of:
Being capped as a Silver Fern!
