HOF Girl Interview: Entrepreneur Megan Swanson

Entrepreneur Megan Swanson knows what it's like to stand out, she's made a career out of it. Megan is CEO of Powerhouse Pageantry, her mentoring helps incredible women all over the world succeed in the highly competitive pageantry industry. Besides being an Expert Pageant Interview Coach, Megan is also a well decorated Singer, and Keynote Speaker. 

We spoke to Megan about her interesting day to day life and how her height helps when it comes to leadership roles.

So Megan, what does a typical day look like for you?

Working on my company, sales, marketing, lead generation, as well as songwriting and mentoring women all over the world!

Best thing about being tall?

Being (literally) a cut above the rest in every situation. I love standing out. I love that people look to me for leadership, regardless of whether I actually know how to lead a particular situation.

I love wearing heels and having people look at my feet and then my face because they can’t believe how tall I am, and I love the secret “nod” that every tall girl gives each other when we pass by one another.

Finally, I love that tall people are their own little subgroup/community. We understand one another on another level and have a silent language!

Best Styling Tip?

Discover what kind of shape you have, find that one type of item that flatters your shape, and then buy like 10 pairs of that item in every colour.

For me, I’m very straight up and down with a booty, so high waisted skinny jeans flatter me in all the right places! Yours may be an a line dress, flare jeans, skirts, or a blouse! Find it and rock it girl!

Favourite go-to fashion item?

High waisted skinny jeans and a tank top.

Heels or no heels?

Heels.

Pet peeves of being tall?

People commenting on how tall I am everywhere and asking how tall I am.

Your tall inspirations?

Sports Presenter Sage Steele and singer Taylor Swift.

What would like to see more of for tall women?  

More tall women standing tall, owning their height, and wearing heels. No more being afraid of being taller than men or being noticed.

I wish tall women knew how much others wished they were tall!

Thoughts on your HOF denim?

I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE OMG. Comfiest jeans in the entire world, they make my butt look incredible, and if I could buy them in 100 colors I would, and I’d wear them every day.

Your plans for your business/brand next?

We are unveiling 2 more programs in the 2020 season, and will hopefully be helping women in every state in the US and beyond this year!

One thing you'd like to say to your younger self?

Don’t date men shorter than you. Not my cup of tea lol.
